This living Map has taken 4 years to put together, with research and visiting mining locations, being able to prove the locations are genuine.

19 of the mine shafts I have visited, and taken photos of their exacted locations some of which were at least 20m deep and workings went off in all directions, these were remediated by the coal authority back in 2014-2015 and filled in with imported stone, and the work was completed over a 2 month period using over a thousand ton of stone.
The red squares on the map are 19 mine shafts I have visited which opened up in 2015 and some from the old map of the area.
The yellow squares I have visited are mine shafts which opened up in 2017 one was 25 foot deep.

The blue squares are taken from ground reports covering Balderston hall field which from site investigation show broke ground at 15-19 meters deep meaning old coal working lay beneath the site.
The three black lines indicate a worked coalface with underground voids throughout the lined area.
